Pitcher Josh Spence Counts on His FloBed
Professional baseball pitcher Josh Spence spends most of the year on the road, and his body is his livelihood. So when Josh Spence needed a mattress that would help him recover between games, he turned to FloBeds.
Why Recovery Matters to Josh Spence
“There’s nothing I appreciate more than a great night’s sleep. If you include spring training, I need to be physically at my best over 200 constant days a year, and I feel FloBed gives me the best opportunity to achieve that. Recovery is vital in the game of baseball, and my custom FloBed, designed specifically for me, definitely assists this process.”
How We Built His Custom Bed
Josh is a side sleeper who loves a soft bed. However, a bed that’s too soft lets the hips and shoulders sink, which throws off your posture. So we built his mattress to give just enough at those pressure points, while still holding his body in line.
In his words: “FloBeds was able to make a soft mattress that was firm enough to hold my posture while sleeping on my side. There was some give, but not too much, where my hips and shoulders lay on the mattress.” He added that other companies make a mattress one way for everyone, while FloBeds builds it with support exactly where you need it.
What Other Players Told Us
Josh isn’t the only ballplayer who sleeps on a FloBed. Here’s what a few others have said:
- “Nothing beats jumping into my FloBed after a long day at the ballpark.”
- “FloBeds actually designs the bed that best fits the way you sleep. I didn’t think that was possible.”
- “Having to perform physically day in and day out, I need my rest. My FloBed has been awesome to me.”
A Pro-Level Bed for Everyone
You don’t have to pitch in the big leagues to need good recovery. Every FloBed is built from separate layers of natural Talalay latex, and each side can have its own firmness. That way, side sleepers, back sleepers and couples all get the support they need.
