FloBeds sponsors a local basketball team here in Fort Bragg. Our Manager of Operations, Dewey Turner, put together a FloBeds team that meant business. The team went 12-2 this season. It was a very competitive season but our FloBeds team prevailed! Congratulations to everyone on the team: Brandon Tupper, Patrick Turner, Tim Anderson, Myles Anderson, Josh Hartsock, Kevin Miller, Woody Heckeroth, Dewey Turner, Cody Odekirk, Ernie Rubio, and Jason Cimolino (not pictured).
Here are some additional photos of the team with their families-
We are all different heights, weights, and have different sleeping preferences, so why do most mattress manufactures use the one size fits all mentality? Here at FloBeds we know that your partner might like to sleep on something similar to rock, while you prefer a cloud. That is why FloBeds can be customized. Ever wonder what the inside of a FloBed looks like? Go ahead and take a look under the hood:
What you are going to find is-
A mattress you can adjust: Top-to-Bottom, Side-to-Side & Head-to-Toe •Top-to-Bottom: Several adjustable layers of Latex customized for YOUR body •Side-to-Side: Each side personalized to accommodate both sleeper’s firmness needs •Head-to-Toe: Pain in your shoulders or hips? Need extra lumbar support? Are you a side or back sleeper? The vZone allows you to micro-tune customized “zones”
Happy Earth Day! To celebrate Earth Day today NASA is asking that we share pictures of our favorite places using the hashtag #NoPlaceLikeHome. When you look up this hashtag you will also see photos that NASA will be posting as well. After Earth Day NASA will use some of the best pictures to compile a video.
Operations Manager Dewey Says his #NoPlaceLikeHome is anywhere with his family-
Admiral McRaven, a Navy Seal, gave a new meaning to making your bed every morning. He states that, “If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task, and another. And by the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed.” Watch the video below to hear more on his philosophy: if you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.
When the time comes to make a purchase that you will be using every day, you might start to feel a little overwhelmed. Often times mattress shopping includes heading to a crowded mattress shop, wondering if you are getting the best deal, fending off the aggressive salesmen, and spending a few minutes testing out a mattress that you hope you will like spending 8 hrs on every night. That does not have to be your shopping experience. At FloBeds we like to make sure you don’t have to deal with crowds or haggling. You can have a great mattress shopping experience from the comfort of your own home.
Even Newsweek thinks you should try a FloBed. As mentioned in the Newsweek article, “…find a mattress you can adjust to the point of perfection. Flobeds (flobeds.com or 1-800-FLOBEDS) sells stackable latex panels that range from soft to superfirm. Stack two panels of different firmnesses for a truly customized sleep. And because each side of the mattress has separate panels, your partner can sleep on marble while you float on marshmallows.” T.E. Newsweek
Have you ever taken a second to stop and think about what you are sleeping on? If you have a FloBed you have nothing to worry about, however, not all mattresses are made with the same materials that we use. You spend a third of your life in bed… consider what you’re sleeping on. We were the first to use wool to pass the federal fire standards for mattresses, making our covers chemical free. Organic Cotton is obvious… but we even wash it before quilting it to our organic wool.
We even use solid Ponderosa Pine for our slat foundations. The Pine slat foundations are FCS certified of course.
FloBeds is Okeo-Tex certified. Okeo-Tex is the world leader in testing for human safety in textiles.
People spend about a third of their lives in bed. We want to make sure that third of your life is not only comfortable but chemical free.
Spring has arrived! Although we have all heard of spring cleaning closets, have you ever heard of spring cleaning your sleep routine? Here are 3 ways you can spring clean to sleep better:
1. Remove all technology from your bed. The blue light from your phone can keep you from getting quality sleep, so find another place for it to spend the night.
2. Wash your comforter. Most people wash their sheets on a regular basis, but not their comforters. According to Sleep.org the, “National Sleep Foundation’s own Bedroom Poll found that nearly three out of four people say they get a more comfortable night’s sleep when their bedding has a fresh scent.”
3. Rid your room of the clutter. Having a clean room puts your mind at ease and will help you sleep better.
So leave your phone in the other room, toss your comforter in the wash, pick up those socks that missed the dirty clothes hamper, and get ready to sleep better this spring.
