It's been about 6 months since we purchased our mattress and I can't stress enough how much of a difference it has made. I'm a big guy (6'6 about 275lbs) and this mattress is like a dream compared to our innerspring mattress we replaced. It has completely ruined me for hotels and other travel because where I used to LOVE trying out different mattresses that were better than what I had at home, now I KNOW I'm not going to come even close to as comfortable as our FloBed.

Their customer service is also excellent. They had a sale running and it ran out before my wife and I could decide what mattress to buy and when I called in the following day they still honored the sale price. Overall I couldn't be happier with this product and I have recommended it to anyone I encounter that is looking for a new mattress.

My husband and I spent two years researching and trying out organic and all natural mattresses from manufactures such as OMI, Savvy Rest, and Hastens before deciding on a Flobeds mattress. We took a road trip to Fort Bragg just to try out the mattresses and we could not be happier with our purchase.

My husband is a rotating shift worker and a good nights sleep is extremely important. When our Costco latex mattress started to sag in the middle after only a few years we decided it was time to upgrade to a mattress with a longer life and better support. When I read the research on the chemicals used in cheap latex mattresses and the off gassing that occurs with chemically stabilized talalay latex I quickly became convinced of the need for an all-natural and organic alternative. I also spent a lot of time comparing Dunlop latex vs. talalay latex mattresses and was reassured to learn that the process Flobeds uses to create their talalay latex is all natural without any chemicals used to stabilize the latex. There is no question that Flobeds is offering a top-of-the-line quality product at a significant discount than their competitors.

Following over an hour of extensive showroom research we decided that a Z-Zone talalay latex mattress was the right fit for us (v-zone over firm over extra firm). We also bought the euro slat foundation and like the flexible support if offers. The bed shipped in a week and was easy to assemble as per the instructions and online video.

What should really be noted is the exceptional level of customer service. Our salesperson, Dewey, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and his father Dave was also a delight to work with. We both love the sleep firmness guarantee and plan on buying a medium or soft layer to accommodate a possibly pregnancy in the next few years

. This was a major purchase for us and we really felt more comfortable dealing with a company that will stand behind our mattress. With over 33 years in the business, Flobeds is obviously leading the industry in quality and customer service.

Hi there!
I have meant to write this product review for a long time, but kept forgetting to do so. We've had our V-Zone FloBed now for about 9 or 10 months I guess? The first week or so after assembling it, I was sleeping quite great, but my hubby was still not totally on board. I was starting to fret about whether or not we had bought a bed that only one of us would be happy with, so we decided to unzip it and move a few things around (including un-velcroing some of his V-zone components.) You see, my husband has very long legs, and a short torso (whereas I'm the opposite- - long torso, short legs) and by laying on the exposed layers and figuring out where his various 'zones' should be lining up, we were able to completely fine-tune it to his needs, and mine.

In fact, this purchase could not have happened at a better time because due to several precipitating factors, right around the time when we bought our bed, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my L5-S1, and went through 3 months of physical therapy. One of the only times when the numbness & pain in my back & left leg would ease up was when I'd go to bed at night.

And now I'm almost totally asymptomatic, unless I have been sitting on a chair for too long and that lower back starts to compress. But nothing a good night's sleep on my FloBed won't fix.

One more thing: At first we were hesitant to switch our pillows to the ones that came with our bed (it was a special deal at the time) because we thought they seemed so strange and heavy. So initially we just used them as extra support pillows if we were sitting in bed reading. But then one day we decided to do the fine-tuning of the pillow's stuffing. For my husband's we almost completely emptied his out, because he sleeps flat on his back and wants very little pillow under his head -- just a little bit under his neck. But I sleep on my side most of the time, and I figured out exactly the correct stuffing amount, so that it keeps my neck aligned and my head supported. I have had virtually zero neck or shoulder pain since I started using your pillow. My husband has had virtually no problems either, and he works at a computer desk all day long, so we can't praise the FloBed & pillows enough. They're just simply fantastic.

 After I fell out of the tree last year I had xrays and the doctor said there was nothing wrong, but I started to get a stiff, painful neck, and it just got worse and worse. I went to the chiropractor and he could do nothing for it, the doctor had already said there was nothing wrong, neck massages almost daily helped for just a few hours. It reached the point where I could not turn my head but had to turn my entire upper body to see to the side. I had a good pillow and I tried others both home and away but in the morning the stiffness and pain was at its maximum. So I heard the ad for a FloBed pillow on sale. It was a short trip to the store, I liked the sheep on the cover, I liked the idea that the interior material was enclosed by a zipper and could be removed to any thickness I desired. I made the purchase. I was impressed by the weight of the pillow; it was dense but gave just the right amount of support. I did not remove anything, I just plopped my head down on that pillow and when I woke in the morning the normal pain was reduced by 50%. After two more nights it was virtually gone and continues to be at a very low level of discomfort for over a month now.  BEST bed ever! FloBed is what "Customer Service" is all about! They have been completely available. We ordered the E. King. Firm on his side, soft on my princess- and-the-pea side, with vZone on both sides. With the help of the online video... this was so simple to assemble! The vZones are my favorite part! It allowed me the opportunity to customize my side of the bed within about 5/min tops. (Yes, it was "I" who did the changes all by myself!) So far I have made two separate changes to find my perfect bed. I could not have done this with a standard bed. I have so much comfort of mind, knowing that as my needs change... so can my bed, all within 5/min and without the cost of a new bed. THIS IS THE WAY A BED SHOULD BE BUILT!

 I have tried virtually every type of bed there is. Then I bought a Flobed. I have NEVER slept better. Before Flobeds, though, I did try a latex bed from SleepEZ (hoping to save some $$$). I returned it, dissatisfied with the quality and comfort. Biting the bullet, I decided to put my $$$ where my mouth is and try the Flobed. As I said, the best sleep I've ever had. Today, I just ordered a second Flobed for my wife. We sleep on 2 twin longs on a king frame. She thought she wanted a Serta extra comfy last January, so I shelled out $1400!! She grew to hate it; said it hurt her back. She started napping on my Flobed and loved it. She asked for her own Flobed which I gladly ordered because I know how much she loves mine. One suggestion, go with the website's comfort recommendation calculator. It was spot on for me. You sleep a 1/3 of your life away, right? Don't short-change yourself and try to save a few bucks like I did. Go first class. Go Flobeds!!

 OUTSTANDING ! ! ! I am embarrassed that I even tried to talk Dewey down on the price! After extensive research of the Latex mattress industry including a side by side comparison and a search for company complaints, I narrowed my choices to just 3. Flobeds was the most expensive of my choices by about $800.00. The cheapest choice actually looked cheap. The craftsmanship was obviously inferior to the Flobed. I called Dave, I played cat & mouse with him and finally told him I had a couple other calls to make before I parted with my money. I called my second choice and was handed over to somebody up top. He eventually took my order ( my mistake). It was an un-split (solid layers) design 10 inch king bed with a 6 inch thick Dunlop core and two 2 inch thick comfort layers of talalay. When it arrived the box was really beat up. I was un happy with the freight company professionalism. However, I soon found out why the box was so tattered. Imagine a king size mattress in a box and you and your spouse trying to get it into the house. It will only fit through the door diagonally. Once in the living room we took it out of the box because it was so dirty. BIG PROBLEM NOW! My 140 lb wife and I about killed ourselves moving it down the hallway to the bedroom. Picture yourself trying to move a 200 lb dead man (dead weight) you MIGHT be blessed with the heath required to do this. Now picture yourself trying to move a 200 lb dead man that is bulkier, say the size of a KING MATTRESS ! ! ! and, wait for it . . . . . . . . . . . . WITH NO BONES ! ! ! THERS IS NOTHING TO GRAB ONTO! For the first few nights both of our backs hurt, probably because of the exhausting workout just getting it ready to sleep on. We imagined ourselves occasionally re-arranging the bedroom and worse yet, moving, and concluded this was not the bed for us. We sent it back for a full refund minus $300 for the foundation (you can not return them) and ordered a Flobed. The Flobed arrived in several small and easy to manage boxes and without damage. NO B.S. it was easy to set up and the quality is "TOP OF THE LINE"! Plus you can adjust the layers to suit your comfort needs. (we already have). HERE IS A VERY INTERSTING FACT: We have been married for 29 years and we have both always been side sleepers. However, we are finding ourselves sleeping on our backs more often and without pain. I personally do not think there is a better Latex bed on the planet!

 After dealing with yet another mattress that began to sag after only 3 years, I was determined to find something comfortable, supportive and long lasting. Our mattress was the 3rd in as many years. Two were deemed defective by the store we bought them from and the third one was becoming extremely painful for me to sleep on. Hubby wasn't having difficulty, but I was. Searching the web for mattress testimonials, I found only glowing reports about the beds and the company, Flo Beds. The idea of being able to adjust cores to suit each person was particularly appealing and the 90 guarantee made it worth purchasing. Hubby was skeptical, but felt I needed to find out if this bed was worth all the positive reviews it had received. Well, it is! Hubby set up the bed, and now, after three weeks, finds this bed to be the most comfortable one he has ever slept in. I, agree. Wish we had "discovered" FloBeds when we lived in CA, it would have arrived sooner...now that we're in Florida, it took about a week for the bed to arrive.... :) A comfortable mattress, wonderful latex pillows and the DreamFit sheets, both available through FloBeds, along with the best customer support make this purchase one that will be considered one of the best purchases made in our 40 years of marriage. Here is a summary of the first day experience with our new FLOBED package!On arrival I unpacked the six boxes, which took approximately 30 minutes, not a lot of time but the tight fit in boxes was a little challenging to handle for one person my age (66).The foundation installation was rather simple, as was the assembling of the core pads etc. The mattress cover fit like a glove! Only a Stanford scholar could have put such a fine package together!

Some of my muscles ached from the installation process, but I expected a good nights sleep on my Latex FloBed would get rid of my aches and pains.What a wonderful nights sleep! It felt like I was sleeping on “cloud 7”. No hot or cold spots, with good support. Nancy’s medium over firm may need an adjustment to firm over medium, but she will try my side first to test it out.

A great start, with a great product, and I must say the customer service support from FloBed is the best I have experienced in along time!

 After much research, I decided to buy the Flobeds Talalay Zone-on-point mattress with the euroslat foundation because of the great flexibility the interchangeable cores offered. My wife and I have vastly different preferences for mattress firmness so this seemed to be a perfect fit. Ordering, shipping (across the country), and assembly were easy. Customer service was great. We even tried the 90 day firmness guarantee, ordering a replacement core on the 88th day, once again recieving great customer service. Most impressive of all, my wife, who is currently 9 months pregnant tells me that she doesn't feel pregnant when she is sleeping on the bed. We're quite impressed and would recommend the Flobed to anyone.

 We bought our FloBed 9 months ago+/-. It was, other than our two Shelties, the smartest purchase we have made in quite some time. Customer service was Outstanding and hassle free. We ordered three additional latex pads to get the firmness we thought we wanted, going hard than softer, than realizing what we had originally was what was the most comfortable. The whole time without any problems what so ever. I love the fact that the mattress cover can be spot-washed. The top cover comes off and if soiled can be cleaned. I never had a conventional mattress I could say that about. We bought the King with the euro slats. I found it hard to believe that the set could be delivered by UPS in 7 boxes but it was. And it was not at all difficult to assemble. Months ago we disposed of the boxes, but we have been negligent in not getting a positive reference your way. After all, you have made our nights wonderful, and this will be the last mattress we should ever need to buy again.

 After disastrously trying the "memory foam" and airbed routes, we were so relieved (physically and mentally) to find the natural latex (not the one mixed with petroleum) customizable beds from Flobeds. My husband only liked hard beds til this one (we have soft over medium over extra firm) and he LOVES it which is a miracle in itself. I have spine damage and this is the first and only bed that has helped me to get a full night's sleep in my life. It is not unusual to not roll or wake all night long! Imagine. We have the matching foundation and it is very well built also. We are both very large people and this mattress is so supportive and yet giving. Your body just keeps on "letting go" and relaxing when you lay down and unlike the memory foam it doesn't just keep on sinking all night long so you can't move and are sore in the morning. Absolutely divine. Customer service here was excellent also, they answered a ton of questions on toxicity, firmness, etc. We have had ours over a year now and it is just as wonderful now.  I see that one of my two "companion humans" wrote a testimonial for our FloBed, but my other "pet" human keeps forgetting, so it is up to I, the intrepid feline of the family to rave about this new mattress.  We started using our 100% Talalay Mattress two days ago. The difference in feel versus our old mattress was noticed by both my wife and me. I am not a great sleeper and have noticed a lott of tossing and turning during the night. The last two nights I still wake up but go right back to sleep and have not tossed or turned at all. It is very easy to find a comfortable position. Clearly I am waking up much more rested.The FloBed experience of purchasing on the WEB was scary at first but the service was excellent, putting the mattress together was excellent and the advice on firmness right on.

 I ordered a queen all-latex mattress and fir-slat foundation from Flobeds, and recieved it this week. Customer service was outstanding. After having some questions answered on the phone, the packages showed up on time and well-packed. Assembly was not difficult, and I was pleased with the quality of workmanship in the foundation, latex, and cover. The latex has a very unique feel, very different from our past spring mattresses. The feel of the bed is difficult to describe; if you haven't slept on a good latex bed before, you'll have to experience it for yourself. The latex is very supportive, yet soft enough to feel VERY comfortable. "Pressure points" and poor support are clearly NOT problems with this mattress. I was tired of feuding with my wife over whether to have a firm or soft mattress. Flobeds bypassed that whole issue with its ability to custom make each side of the bed to our preferences (this was the biggest factor in our choosing Flobeds). The transition from side to side is very subtle, so you don't abruptly "drop off" from the firm to soft side. It is also good to have the option of switching the firmness at any point.  Hello! :) ...Zzzzz I purchased a King Talalay mattress set about 6 months ago. I didn't so much seek you out in an attempt to improve my sleep, as I have always seemed to sleep well. But, I did think a fine bed was a most worthy investment, and, after much research, invest I did. I was somewhat nervous of spending a couple thousand dollars on a bed that I had never seen or felt, but it sounded wonderful and made more sense in comparison to other products such as the Comfort Select beds, the memory foam beds, the other latex beds (which seemed to lack quality or consideration), and all the standard beds (and your guarantee helped ease the anxiety). Now, having slept on your Talalay latex bed for most of a year, I must say that it is wonderful! The very first night on it was the most drastic, providing comfort & a quality of sleep in such contrast to what I had experienced, even to what I had always considered good sleep. I used to think that momentarily waking to roll over a couple times a night was normal. Now, I only wake to find it to be a full & bright morning! And, months later, I am sleeping as well as ever! Anyway, I am very happy! Please keep up the good work, keep at the inovation, and keep your important product within relatively easy reach of folks who care much about aspects of life other than pursuing a monetary fortune!  Dear FloBeds,

I guess it has been about six months now since our two flobeds arrived. Acouple of weeks ago, I did something very important. I went into the garage, pulled out the cardboard boxes that the flobeds had shipped in,and proceeded to cut them up for re-cycling.

Why is it important? I don't intend to ship them back. They are keepers.Both the queen in the motorhome and the king in our bedroom. My wife keepssaying they are the best beds she has ever slept on.

After an extensive effort to find a bed that I didn't have a lowerbackache from in the morning, I discovered that they all had the sameeffect on me. The problem isn't the bed. It's my weight and poor physicalcondition. However, there is no doubt that the Flobed is far and away themost comfortable bed of them all.

I truly have to apologize to you for the hassle over the first bed. When Istill had backaches, I figured I could still find a better bed. Icouldn't! Not even the highly advertised Tempur-pedic was any better. Infact, I don't even know why anyone would buy one. They are hard and tend to be warm. We are sold on the Flobed. Period!

Joseph and I wanted to write and tell you how pleased we have been with the customer service that we have received from Flobeds.

You and your staff were great in straightening out the problem with our receipt of a wrong size core and the associated shipping delays. After we received the correct size cores, they have assisted us in adjusting the core firmnesses.

It is not often that we find a Company that the staff consistently treats customers, as you would want to be treated. Everyone has been gracious, as well as knowledgeable about your product.

Joseph and I looked and looked to the point of total frustration to find a mattress to fulfill our need of dual firmness. We thought the we would have to settle for something in between until Joseph found your site on the internet. I have slept on a waterbed for the past 30 years and was used to a very soft and flexible mattress. I am pleased that your mattress conforms to my body shape and I do not feel any “pressure points”. Joseph has a bad back, takes medication on a daily basis and requires a very firm bed. He is delighted that your mattress gives him the kind of support that helps his back feel pain-free, but without the harshness of a 'hard' mattress.

 It's hard to believe that we've had our latex King bed for 18 months now! It's such a wonderful bed that when we go on vacation we can't wait to get back home to our wonderful comfy bed!! We wish all the hotels and B&Bs knew about your fabulous mattresses.

You have not solicited my comments, but I feel obligated to write. It is, to me, a great pleasure when I spend my dollars on a product and feel I have received a full measure in return. In this case, I took a chance on a company I located through the internet, spent a considerable amount on a bed I had no opportunity to try out in person, and bypassed all the "safe" buying opportunities of the local market. I couldn't be happier! I believe we have received our money's worth and more.

It is literally a pleasure each night that I go to sleep on our new bed! The feeling is like no other. And, believe me, I know. I travel extensively (I am an airline pilot) and sleep in beds from Europe to California. None come close to the comfort and --- well, "welcoming" feeling of the Flobed.

Believe it or not, as much as I like our new bed, I do believe my wife likes it even more!

I LOVE my bed! During the week that I had the replacement cores you sent, I compared sleeping on the originals to sleeping on the replacements. While at first I thought that the replacements were better, in the end I decided to stick with the originals. I can think of
no other store that would have allowed me the opportunity to make such an extensive comparison (or any comparison at all). Flobeds rocks!

 My latex pillow is WONDERFUL! Surely Nirvana has been achieved! Each night
when I recline in the arms of Morphius (i.e., the sand man backs his truck
up and dumps) I sleep blissfully until morning.
Please send me 3 more queen sized latex pillows. I will be returning the
memory foam pillow.

I have researched the different "sleeping systems" for months and decided on the European memory foam matress. I ordered the mattress by phone, and the lady who helped me was personable and efficient and professional. As promised the mattress arrived the next day.
The very first night we slept on it, we woke up with no stiffness, no hip pains, and an added plus, my husband has not snored! Or, maybe I sleep so much better, I don't hear him....

Just a note to say that I followed your advice to take some time to get used
to the new bed, AND I LOVE IT!!!
It still generates a bit of heat, so fewer blankets are required. All in
all, the quality of sleep is well worth making that small adjustment!
I have fibromyalgia, and the investment in the FloBed is helping with the
pain and stiffness tremendously. FloBed is something I"ll be pleased to
recommend to family and friends -- it's terrific!

 Have about 2 weeks + - on the Flo Bed. It truly is an "out of body" experience. I am fighting not going to bed at 700PM instead of my normal 1000PM. Unbelievable comfort. Have not slept this well in years.
Your recommendations on dinner and a place to stay in Ft. Bragg were perfect.
As our beds "die" at the lodge, I will email you as to what we might replace them with out of your inventory.

the Euro Cotton and Wool Flotation Sleep System. It has been assembled
for only 4 nights, and already, we are sleeping better than we have in
years. We can't imagine a more comfortable bed. No more pressure
points, and no more aches and pains in the morning. The individual
components appear to be first rate and we expect them to provide us with
years of trouble free service. We're even anticipating the need for
less sleep, since we seem to reach the deeper levels of sleep more

 We love our bed...it is like sleeping on a cloud but with support!
I was hesitant to order a bed off of the internet but the design of the memory foam mattress sounded like what we were looking for. I have to say that we have a Tempurpedic bed in our Illinois residence and for us it is too firm (there is only one firmness) and I had to wait 21 working days ( over 1 month elapsed time) to get it. Also with Tempurpedic I had to call at least six times to find out the status of my order...we weren't about to go through that again! I really appreciate flo beds quicker delivery and customer service via EMail...and again I love this bed...I didn't have to get used to it like I did with the Tempurpedic!
