My husband and I spent two years researching and trying out organic and all natural mattresses from manufactures such as OMI, Savvy Rest, and Hastens before deciding on a Flobeds mattress. We took a road trip to Fort Bragg just to try out the mattresses and we could not be happier with our purchase.
My husband is a rotating shift worker and a good nights sleep is extremely important. When our Costco latex mattress started to sag in the middle after only a few years we decided it was time to upgrade to a mattress with a longer life and better support. When I read the research on the chemicals used in cheap latex mattresses and the off gassing that occurs with chemically stabilized talalay latex I quickly became convinced of the need for an all-natural and organic alternative. I also spent a lot of time comparing Dunlop latex vs. talalay latex mattresses and was reassured to learn that the process Flobeds uses to create their talalay latex is all natural without any chemicals used to stabilize the latex. Following over an hour of extensive showroom research we decided that a Z-Zone talalay latex mattress was the right fit for us (v-zone over firm over extra firm). We also bought the euro slat foundation and like the flexible support if offers. The bed shipped in a week and was easy to assemble as per the instructions and online video.
What should really be noted is the exceptional level of customer service. Our salesperson, Dewey, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and his father Dave was also a delight to work with. We both love the sleep firmness guarantee and plan on buying a medium or soft layer to accommodate a possibly pregnancy in the next few years

Hi there!
I have meant to write this product review for a long time, but kept forgetting to do so. We've had our V-Zone FloBed
now for about 9 or 10 months I guess?
The first week or so after assembling it, I was sleeping quite great, but my hubby was still not totally on board. I was
starting to fret about whether or not we had bought a bed that only one of us would be happy with, so we decided to
unzip it and move a few things around (including un-velcroing some of his V-zone components.) You see, my husband
has very long legs, and a short torso (whereas I'm the opposite- - long torso, short legs) and by laying on the exposed
layers and figuring out where his various 'zones' should be lining up, we were able to completely fine-tune it to his
needs, and mine.
In fact, this purchase could not have happened at a better time because due to several precipitating factors, right
around the time when we bought our bed, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my L5-S1, and went through 3
months of physical therapy. One of the only times when the numbness & pain in my back & left leg would ease up was
when I'd go to bed at night.
And now I'm almost totally asymptomatic, unless I have been sitting on a chair for too long and that lower back starts to
compress. But nothing a good night's sleep on my FloBed won't fix.
One more thing: At first we were hesitant to switch our pillows to the ones that came with our bed (it was a special deal
at the time) because we thought they seemed so strange and heavy. So initially we just used them as extra support
pillows if we were sitting in bed reading. But then one day we decided to do the fine-tuning of the pillow's stuffing. For
my husband's we almost completely emptied his out, because he sleeps flat on his back and wants very little pillow
under his head -- just a little bit under his neck. But I sleep on my side most of the time, and I figured out exactly the
correct stuffing amount, so that it keeps my neck aligned and my head supported. I have had virtually zero neck or
shoulder pain since I started using your pillow. My husband has had virtually no problems either, and he works at a
computer desk all day long, so we can't praise the FloBed & pillows enough. They're just simply fantastic.

We ordered the E. King. Firm on his side, soft on my princess-
and-the-pea side, with vZone on both sides. With the help of
the online video... this was so simple to assemble!
The vZones are my favorite part! It allowed me the opportunity
to customize my side of the bed within about 5/min tops. (Yes,
it was "I" who did the changes all by myself!) So far I have made
two separate changes to find my perfect bed. I could not have
done this with a standard bed. I have so much comfort of mind,
knowing that as my needs change... so can my bed, all within
5/min and without the cost of a new bed.

It has been about 6 weeks now since I purchased a Flobeds Zone-on-Point Talalay latex mattress in Full/Std size for my mother. Time to report.
First, shipping. I ordered the mattress by telephone on a Saturday, and the mattress arrived Fedex about 9 days later on a Monday. So only 5 business days from CA to PA. Not bad at all. I was impressed by how fast my order was processed and shipped. The Full/Std mattress arrived in two boxes. Both were in excellent shape, well-taped, and had green stickers saying what was in each. The total shipping weight was about 85 lbs. One box was relatively light; one was heavy and I used a dolly to move it from living room to bedroom.
Second, unpacking. When I opened the first box, the first thing I lifted out looked like a very large latex pillow double-wrapped in thick plastic. Except it weighed about 20 lbs. Turns out it was a vacuum-packed piece of latex. Since the layers are split that means I was sent seven of these latex "pillows", the seventh being the convoluted egg-crate layer that is half as thick as the other layers but is not split. For my 105 lb Mom what was recommended by Flobeds' online "Comfort Advisor" was (Zone / Soft / Medium), so the other six "pillows' were two each of those. I should explain that the Zone is really just another layer of Soft but it includes a 12"-14" zone of Medium in the area where your ribcage rests. Thus your pointy and heavier hips and elbows/shoulders sink into the soft part while your ribcage is held up by the (medium) zone, keeping your spine in alignment. At least I think that's the theory. Also in the boxes was a set of instructions (available online in PDF at http://www.flobeds.com/pdf/LatexOwnersInstructions.pdf) and the mattress case. Oh yeah, and a real latex pillow and set of 300 TC DreamFit sheets I ordered too.
Third, putting it together. The first thing you do is put the empty mattress case on the foundation. (I had previously bought a SmartBase steel foundation). I had read some negative comments about the mattress cases some people had received from other sellers, e.g., that the case was hard and had a plastic feeling. The case from Flobeds couldn't be any more different. It is extremely soft, so soft one could almost sleep directly on the mattress case. The top of the mattress case zips completely off. I did that, laid the rest of the case on the foundation, and pulled its sides down as instructed. That is, one practically pulls the case inside-out so that one can simply lay the latex pieces on a flat surface. The next step is laying the latex. I started with one of the vacuum-packed "pillows" of Medium. It's way cool when you open them - it's like you've pulled the handle on an inflatable life raft. I got my first good look at the Talalay latex. It's beautiful looking, no discoloration or crumbling, and so soft. I couldn't resist squeezing it and thinking of that old "Please don't squeeze the Charmin" commercial. Laying down layers went very quickly. I made both sides (Zone / Soft / Medium), put the convoluted layer on top, then pulled the sides of the mattress case up and zipped its top back on, being careful to push in the flap that protects the latex from the zipper. Voila, instant mattress. Then I put my Mom's Martha Stewart mattress cover on the mattress case to protect it, followed by the sheets and spread. Getting the oversized sheets and the damn dust ruffle on correctly was actually harder than putting the mattress together. Done! Took about 30 minutes.
Fourth, impressions. After the first night my Mom said she thought the mattress was too soft. So I switched the layers around from (Zone / Soft / Medium) to (Medium / Zone / Soft). Big difference. My Mom slept on this configuration for 2-3 weeks without complaint. But I pressed her for her impressions. She hinted that maybe it was still just a little too soft. So I made one side of the bed as firm as could be with the layers I had: (Medium / Medium / Zone). Whoops, too firm. So I switched to (Zone / Medium / Medium). Just right! For the past month my Mom has been sleeping on that configuration w/o any complaints. However, I was bothered by the fact that this leaves the other side of the bed as (Zone / Soft / Soft) - essentially all soft. So I decided to take advantage of Flobeds much-praised firmness guarantee. The most important thing is that my Mom is sleeping comfortably. She never wakes up with knee or hip pain like she did on her old mattress. I give Flobeds mattresses a big thumbs up.

This is my 2nd FloBed. I have had a Cal King for several years in the U.S. and when I moved to Saba (Netherland Antilles) the thing I missed most was a good nights sleep. The bed that came with the cottage was old and was poorly constructed. I have sufferred for the past year and finally bit the bullet and had one shipped to the island. Because of the humidity and the dampness here the Latex mattress is the best fit to avoid mildew and that musty odor all our stuff gets here on our mountain island in the clouds. My first good nights sleep in a long time and looking forward to many more.

We’ve had our new FloBed for 3 months now, and I want to write and let you know how it all turned out.
My husband and I didn’t realize how different we are as to the firmness we need to be comfortable. He prefers a firmer surface. After some jostling of layers, he settled in rather comfortably with firm—over his zone layer—over extra firm. He has many clips in his side of the euro-foundation (I have just two under the small of my back). He no longer has to get out of bed at night, just to work the kinks out before returning to bed again.
I started out on a medium-over-medium, which I realized immediately was too firm. So we ordered a soft, which I put over my medium, but that was too soft. Then I returned to the medium-over-medium, but, again, it was too firm. Then I put the soft under the medium, and it was much better. I was much more comfortable with that configuration, but I felt that the effect of my zone had been diminished by the soft layer. That’s when we ordered a custom zone to replace the soft layer. With a 14-inch zone of medium to support my back, and soft above for my painful shoulders, and soft below for my painful lower hips, this zone turned out to be just the answer. First, I put it under the medium. It was an improvement, and my hips were very happy, as they sank into cushy softness, but my shoulders were still hurting. Then I put the new zone on top of the medium, and AT LAST! No pain! I couldn’t believe it... I thought I might just be imagining it. A few days later, I switched the layers back just to find out, and, wow... there was that pain again, and no mistaking it. the next day I retuned the layer to their final resting place: zone—over custom-zone—over medium... and once again, I had no pain when I went to bed last night. I’m ecstatic! I’d come to accept the fact that I’d never find a bed that could make my pain go away... But FloBeds did it. I can’t thank you enough.
You’ve ended my painful nights, and my 10-year search for a bed that will feel good for both of us, and not begin to break-down and cave-in within months of purchase. Neither of us had to sacrifice comfort for the sake of the other, neither did we have to compromise with something in-between... too soft for him, but still too hard for me. Thank you so much.

We have ordered the Latex bed more than a year ago and we are both sleeping much better. My back and hips used to ache and I could not stay in bed too long because of this discomfort. As soon as we started using your the bed, I started sleeping much better. I have no problems at night falling asleep. The bed is so comfortable, that I can stay in bed longer on the weekends and catch up on my sleep. Even after a year, there is no sagging and my husband and I are comfortable when we lie close together in the middle of the bed. Our old mattress used to sag a little, making it very uncomfortable for us to snuggle up. I also love my latex pillow. I have tried all sorts of pillows, but nothing beats the comfort of my latex one. We were very pleased with the whole experience of ordering the bed. Dear Dave... It has been almost two years since I purchased a FloBed from you for my boyfriend's place. I was moving in with him at the time and wanted a great bed. He resisted at first but immediately realized how wonderful the bed was.Recently I decided to get a place closer to work to cut down on my commute during the week. That was the start of looking for another bed.My boyfriend asked me to wait on purchasing another FloBed because he was going to bring the Flobed we had to my new place. He had decided to purchase a used pillow top bed from a friend for a "great deal". After much research, I decided to buy the Flobeds Talalay Zone-on-point mattress with the euroslat foundation because of the great flexibility the interchangeable cores offered. My wife and I have vastly different preferences for mattress firmness so this seemed to be a perfect fit. Ordering, shipping (across the country), and assembly were easy. Customer service was great. We even tried the 90 day firmness guarantee, ordering a replacement core on the 88th day, once again recieving great customer service. Most impressive of all, my wife, who is currently 9 months pregnant tells me that she doesn't feel pregnant when she is sleeping on the bed. We're quite impressed and would recommend the Flobed to anyone.

I see that one of my two "companion humans" wrote a testimonial for our FloBed, but my other "pet" human keeps forgetting, so it is up to I, the intrepid feline of the family to rave about this new mattress. I love it!!!!!I cannot describe the incredible nights' sleep I now get since we got our FloBed. Where sleeping with the male of the pair used to involve me having to move off of the bed every 30 minutes or so, I now can spend the night only having to move off or over once or twice- he is able to sleep comfortably without excess tossing and turning. I thought I'd never find a bed that was comfortable. Either years ago, my husband and I purchased what seemed like the perfect bed...at least it seemed perfect in the showroom. First I tried it, then my husband tried it. We both loved it. But when we had it delivered, and we both lay down on it at the same time, it was a disaster. I woke up every time he rolled over. That bed lasted one month and was relegated to our guest room. Our next bed also seemed perfect in the showroom. (We got wise: this time we both lay on it at the same time.) But that bed turned out to be too hard for me. Over the last eight years, I struggled with it, trying to fix the problem with a variety of mattress toppers. The foam ones didn't really work, and the air one sprang a leak after about six months, so I had to keep blowing it back up every night. Finally, in desperation, we began to shop for a new bed. The problem was that my husband liked the harder ones and I liked the softer ones. By chance, I stumbled upon the FloBeds web site. I was fascinated by the idea of being able to design my own mattress with a different hardness on each side. But ordering a mattress from an Internet company? So we checked out FloBeds with the Better Business Bureau, and when they checked out fine, we took a leap of faith and ordered a latex mattress and boxspring from them over the phone. To make a long story short, we are thrilled. My side is softer, my husband's is harder; he can roll over and not wake me up. Our backaches are gone. Hello! :) ...Zzzzz I purchased a King Talalay mattress set about 6 months ago. I didn't so much seek you out in an attempt to improve my sleep, as I have always seemed to sleep well. But, I did think a fine bed was a most worthy investment, and, after much research, invest I did. I was somewhat nervous of spending a couple thousand dollars on a bed that I had never seen or felt, but it sounded wonderful and made more sense in comparison to other products such as the Comfort Select beds, the memory foam beds, the other latex beds (which seemed to lack quality or consideration), and all the standard beds (and your guarantee helped ease the anxiety). Now, having slept on your Talalay latex bed for most of a year, I must say that it is wonderful! The very first night on it was the most drastic, providing comfort & a quality of sleep in such contrast to what I had experienced, even to what I had always considered good sleep. I used to think that momentarily waking to roll over a couple times a night was normal. Now, I only wake to find it to be a full & bright morning! And, months later, I am sleeping as well as ever! Anyway, I am very happy! Please keep up the good work, keep at the inovation, and keep your important product within relatively easy reach of folks who care much about aspects of life other than pursuing a monetary fortune! Well, we've had our new queen-sized, (med-firm w/7-zone layer) FloBed for about a month & wanted you to about the big impact it has had for us. We've always slept on very firm, "chiropractor-approved" brand-name beds to 'help' my back, but in recent years we both woke up consistently unrefreshed from sleep (lots of tossing and turning because of pressure points) and, frankly, with sore hip & shoulder bones due to the firmness of the mattresses. The FloBed works as advertised -- pressure points are eliminated completely, but there is NO SAGGING feeling, as one experiences in softer wire mattress...my wife, who held out no hope that another mattress could make a difference is passionate about the FloBed (considers it a 'life-altering') event. It is like sleeping on a cloud that accomodates your pressure point protuberances while still keeping your spine aligned - amazing; we wake without back or pressure point pain of any kind & can't wait to go to bed. The website isn't as ascetically appealing as many others, but the product is a home run. Thanks.
