Memory Foam Latex Mattresses

Memory Foam is an open cell, porous, viscous foam that reacts to the warmth of your body and molds gently into your curves within 5-10 minutes.

Originally developed in the U.S. during the '70s for astronauts on long journeys, a Swedish manufacturer of foam developed the product into a hospital mattress in 1989 to help prevent bed sores. During its hospital trial, hospitals reported it not only prevented bed sores, but helped back pain patients sleep better!   NASA's visco-elastic foam was first commercialized in Sweden.

FloBeds fourth generation Sensus visco-elastic foam is made in America and is a 5 Pound formulation. The FloBed Memory Foam Bed uses 2-1/2 inches of 5 Pound visco-elactic over a 5-1/2 to 7-1/2 inch 100% Talalay Latex core with adjustable firmness; Other memory foam beds use a 5" to 8" block of inexpensive polyurethane foam under their memory foam. FloBeds has 13 different firmnesses for each sleeper, using 100% Talalay Latex under our Memory Foam. Others have a "one firmness fits all" bed.

	Cover of FloCare European stretch knit uses MicroCare knit with Amicor Pure. Amicor Pure is a smart fibre with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal additives inside the fibre. Due to the unique fibre structure, these additives are diffused slowly - providing long lasting protection to textile fabrics. FloBeds FloCare European Knit mattress cover further enhances health and comfort with a soft supple feel that does not interfere with the comfort and contouring of the FloBeds mattress. FloBeds quilts the FloCare knit to one inch of pure Shasta Wool. That’s all. The whole cover unzips for cleaning and hanging in the sun. Health and comfort: revolutionary, yet natural. Latex is not a plastic foam, like polyurethane or furniture foam. It is a denser product made of rubber to last a lifetime. Unlike urethane, latex will feel as good a year from now as it does in the showroom today. Environmentally Friendly - No harmful chemicals are used in making our latex foam. 	Hypo-allergenic - Bacteria, mold and mildew cannot live in latex. Dust Mite Resistant - Tests prove latex is 3 times more resistant to dust mites.

THE ERGOCHECK SYSTEM is made up of 684 pressure monitors distributed across the sleeping surface. Studies indicate that pressure above 32mm of mercury (indicated in blue) restrict capillary blood flow and can cause tissue damage. Latex Foam and Innerspring mattresses are contrasted here.
