The Three Parts of a Good Bed
1) Top Cover-- Cover should be durable, breathable and of quality cotton quilted to a fiber that allows air to flow around your body. Our covers are made of Cotton Belgium damask and European Stretch Knits quilted to California Mt. Shasta Wool. Natural Wool is a bedding wonder. It breathes well. On a hot night it will wick away a third its weight in moisture. Dust mites don't like it. It springs back to its natural shape. We don't put any poly-foam in our covers because it breaks down in 4 or 5 years, it sucks in dust and moisture, and it doesn't breath. We don't use pillow-tops in our beds. The cover should not interfere with the pressure relief and core support of the components beneath.
2) Pressure Relief-- Under the cover comes the Comfort Pad made of two inch 100% convoluted Talalay latex. We use convoluted (egg-crate) latex closest to your body to minimize pressure points and allow good circulation in your skin. This is why hospitals use convoluted toppers. The difference is our latex topper will last for years and years. We also offer the option of another healthcare product: 2-1/2″ Sensus Memory Foam. These toppers span the whole bed and make it so you won't be able to feel where the cores start and stop, while helping to eliminate pressure points.
3) Support Cores-- The main part of a bed is the core... the component that acutally does all the heavy lifting. On our Latex and Memory Foam mattresses we use 100% Latex cores designed to support the person sleeping above. Since most couples have different weights and different spinal support needs, the FloCare Latex Mattress customizes each half of the bed. Each sleeper has two cores each 2-3/4″ thick, for a total of 5-1/2″ of solid latex. We offer a 90 Nite Firmness Guarantee in addition to our 90 Nite Money Back Guarantee. If you find you need a firmer or softer core, we will UPS one to you. You put in the new core, and UPS the old one back. We pay the freight from us to you and ask you to pay the return cost ($15 to $20 to UPS back). In our Air Sleep Systems it is the air cells that provide the proper alignment of the back. With a touch of the button one can change the firmness on either side. The air cell provides easier adjustment, but not quite as conforming or long lasting as a latex core.
